2026 Family Day Activities in Merritt
Family Day is an excellent time to get out and connect with the community. For 2026, the City of Merritt is hosting two free events on Saturday, February 14, 2026. These activities are designed to be accessible for local families and provide a great way to spend the holiday weekend together.

Free Family Party and Games
The first half of the day takes place at the Merritt Civic Centre in the East and West Auditoriums. This event runs from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.
There will be a variety of activities available for all ages, including:
- Soccer and floor hockey
- Ski ball and air hockey
- Face painting and crafts
- Various other family games
The local Girl Guides will be running a concession stand during the event. Please note that the concession is cash only.
Free Family Swim
Following the activities at the Civic Centre, the celebration moves to the Nicola Valley Aquatic Centre. The free family swim runs from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
While entry to the pool is free during these hours, the concession will still require payment. Like the morning event, the concession at the pool is cash only.
